Genesis child theme is a quite flexible to use with but for new the new users adding a logo to the genesis child sometimes become confusing. Why? This is due to inserting logo in Genesis framework (especially for StudioPress themes) is not like the conventional WordPress themes. Hope your confusion will clear in this post.
How to Add Logo to the Genesis Child Theme
The process is very simple. Let’s tell me to step by step.
- Go to appearance from your WordPress dashboard then click on header
- You will find something like the image below from the WordPress Customizer.
- Then click on Add new image button and upload the image from your pc.
- You are done.
You may face a few issues here.
Like, the image size may don’t match. If it doesn’t match then the WordPress default customizer programme will force it to crop in a proportional ratio. So, the best way is uploading the logo with the size set by the developer.
But, How you will be able to know the logo size developer set while building the theme from scratch?
I think you have already seen this, I have drawn a rectangle red box where the logo size for my theme is mentioned. Please, check what is the no for you and tell your graphic designer to build a logo of that particular size or at least maintain a similar ration. Hope it helps.
